Thomas Parkerson founded Parkerson Law with one goal….to put the client first. To listen, communicate, and discuss the specific case with the client, and use his extensive experience to provide the absolute best representation which in turn gives the absolute best options for the client. Whether facing a criminal charge or a possible divorce or custody matter this type of dedicated, experienced representation does not happen overnight but comes after years of practice and thousands of cases.

Thomas began practicing law in 2003 at the firm of Boston, Holt, Sockwell, and Durham in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee focusing on domestic and civil work such as divorce, child custody, and personal injury. He then had the opportunity to begin his extensive criminal law background in 2005 with his move to Murfreesboro to the 16th Judicial District District Attorney's Office. As a former Assistant District Attorney General in Murfreesboro, Smryna, LaVergne, and all Rutherford County and Cannon County, Thomas prosecuted cases that ranged from as simple as public intoxication to as complicated as first-degree murder and has been fortunate to gain important trial experience that has been essential in the representation of all legal matters.

After 6 years as a prosecutor, Thomas entered into private practice in 2010, practicing at Bennett, Parkerson, and Bray and later becoming a founding member of Parkerson Santel, PLLC. His years of experience and involvement in thousands of cases make him one of Rutherford County’s most experienced Criminal Defense Attorneys. Taking advantage of his time as a prosecutor he used this knowledge as a criminal defense attorney to handle all matter of criminal cases including DUI defense to serious felonies including drug charges and murder.
